*Overview* We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dental team. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
*Duties*
* Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow. * Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment according to safety protocols. * Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed. * Maintain accurate patient records using dental software such as Dentrix or Epic. * Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care. * Schedule appointments and manage the front desk duties when necessary, including handling patient inquiries. * Collaborate with orthodontics or pediatrics teams when required for specialized care. * Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the dental practice.
*Experience*
* Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred, but we welcome candidates who are eager to learn. * Familiarity with dental software systems such as Dentrix or Epic is a plus. * Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry is beneficial. * Experience in orthodontics or pediatrics will be considered an asset. * Proficiency in CAD (Computer-Aided Design) is advantageous for those involved in restorative procedures.
