Join our team as a permanent, seasonal Recreation Facilities Attendant I - Arenas and play a key role in creating safe, clean, and enjoyable experiences for athletes, families, and community members. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys a variety of responsibilities?from ice making and arena operations to facility maintenance and customer service. This is Kamloops!The successful candidate must have the following qualifications: Completion of senior secondary school or its equivalent. Valid Class 5 BC Driver?s Licence. Ice Facility Operator certificate - theory portion, with the ability to acquire full certification within four (4) months. Note: the experience for this certification is thirty (30) worked days as recognized by Technical Safety BC.This is a unionized position with CUPE Local 900; check out our Collective Agreement (2024 - 2025) for full details (ratified 2026 Collective Agreement coming soon). As this is a unionized position, all qualifications must be met in order to be shortlisted for the position. For new hires, and for those working in designated positions of trust, including those working directly with vulnerable persons, no formal offer of employment will be made until an applicant completes a police information check. Awarding of Training Opportunity:To be successful in obtaining this training opportunity, applicants must meet the above requirements. Applicants are able to participate in a maximum of three training opportunities within the Department. On-the-Job Experience and Training:The successful candidate for this opportunity will be gaining experience towards becoming a fully qualified Recreation Facilities Attendant I - Aren
