About this role
The Manager, Survey Standards and Regulations Unit serves as the subject matter expert responsible for administering the regulatory functions of the Canada Lands Survey System by reviewing and verifying legal survey documents for compliance with established standards, regulations, policies, and legislation prior to recording. The position provides senior-level technical and professional advice to clients, stakeholders, and Surveyor General Branch (SGB) management on complex survey, cadastral, and property rights matters; ensures the integrity and effective administration of property rights systems on Canada Lands; oversees the consistent application of survey standards and regulatory requirements; manages the Unit's human resources, including staff supervision, performance management, and professional development; and directs the day-to-day operations, planning, quality assurance, and continuous improvement activities necessary to support the effective delivery of survey and cadastra
