About this role
The Equipment Technician will be working in collaboration with the sampling unit team to evaluate sampling systems at various locations. Although required training will be provided, the successful candidate must be capable of demonstrating initiative and analytical thinking to inspect and evaluate systems and troubleshoot when issues are encountered. The technician will also be responsible to perform a variety of verifications, calibrations, maintenance or trouble shoot different type of equipment and instrumentations used by the inspection programs such as but not limited to carter dockage testers and other laboratory equipment. The work is performed at various sites including grain elevators along the St-Lawrence, in Southern and Northern Ontario, Halifax NS and Churchill MB, which are all industrial environments and the regional laboratory in Montreal.
