About this role
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work setting: Various locations. Tasks: Clean and prepare surfaces. Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners. Measure, cut, fit and install drywall sheets. Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists. Cut openings in lath for heating and ventilation piping, ducts and electrical outlets. Install vapour barriers and thermal and sound insulation. Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages. Erect and install scaffolding, falsework and other working platforms. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Bending, crouching, kneeling. Hand-eye co-ordination. Repetitive tasks. Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years.
