About this role
Education: College/CEGEP. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: Noisy. Work setting: Relocation costs not covered by employer. Metal product fabrication industry. Sheet metal shop. Tasks: Check products for correct shapes, dimensions and other specifications. Clean and lubricate machinery and equipment. Cut, bend, roll, ream, punch, drill, weld or otherwise shape and form metal stock into parts or products. Operate machines or equipment which weld, solder, bolt, screw or rivet metal parts together. Read and interpret specifications or follow verbal instructions. Transport material and tools to and from work areas. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail. Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Fast-paced environment. Hand-eye co-ordination. Manual dexterity. Physically demanding. Repetitive tasks. Standing for extended periods.
