Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Tasks: Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements. Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools. Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials. Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware. Supervise other workers. Estimate costs and materials. Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments. Repair, resurface and replace worn or damaged sections of concrete structures. Examine products for defects to ensure adherence to quality standards. Ensure health and safety regulations are followed. Clean, lubricate and perform other maintenance work. Provide technical and professional advice. Perform pre-production runs of binding or finishing jobs to verify output and to ensure that product specifications are met. Repair or replace damaged windows, windshields and sunroofs. Make adjustments necessary to ensure the smooth running of processes. Examine and verify the accuracy of work . Coordinate construction activities to ensure compliance with established building specifications. Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years. Workplace information: On the road job.
