ABOUT THE ROLE Your focus as a Senior Care Assistant will be to support and work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors and staff. Other responsibilities will include: Monitoring the wellbeing of each resident, being aware of any change impacting on care and care plans, ensuring that new needs are met, and written records are amended to reflect any variation.
Main duties of the job We are looking for a warm, enthusiastic, and dedicated individual to join us as a Senior Care Assistant at West Wood Care Home in Sheringham. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, ensuring a safe, caring, supportive, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors, and staff. You will monitor residents' wellbeing, update care plans to reflect any changes, and conduct monthly evaluations. You'll also support residents with medication, undertake staff supervisions, and act as a key contact point for residents, relatives, and health professionals, ensuring requests are fulfilled and concerns are escalated.

Beinginvolved in the person-centred care planning process, by implementing,monitoring,and undertaking monthly evaluations. Supporting residents with their medication requirements. Undertaking staff supervisions and supporting staff with their development where required. Actingas a key point for contact with residents, theirrelativesand visitors, as well as health and social care professionals involved in their wellbeing, ensuring that any reasonable requests are actedupon,and concerns or complaints are escalated.

Our ideal candidatemust:
Have an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes. Have 2 years experience working in similar care environment. Have the ability tocommunicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Have a positive attitude to bothsupporting and nurturing residents and staff. Beresponsive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.

Qualifications Essential
Must have an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes, with 2 years experience in a similar care environment. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, and a positive attitude towards supporting and nurturing residents and staff are essential. The job requires flexibility to cover various responsibilities.
