Main duties of the job The Receptionist role at Avery Healthcare involves providing professional, high-quality customer service as the first point of contact within Abbey Court Care Home. The successful candidate will handle phone enquiries, redirect calls, record messages, and maintain the reception area. Additional tasks include completing reception-related administration, maintaining databases, and providing administrative assistance as required by the General Manager. Candidates should embody the values of caring, supportive, honest, respectful, and accountable, and must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, be confident in using computers, and have a positive and friendly attitude. Previous exposure to problem-solving and client complaint handling is also essential.

Your focus as a receptionist will be to offer professional, high quality customer service as first point of contact within the home as well as providing a range of administrative services.

Other responsibilitieswillinclude:

Answering the telephone and responding to enquiries at reception, redirecting calls to relevant staff and recording messages accordingly. Completingreception-related administration,maintainingdatabases,and providing administrativeassistanceas required by the General Manager. Maintainingthe general tidiness of the reception area, liaising with Housekeeping to ensure standards aremaintained.

Qualifications Essential

Candidates should have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, be confident in computer use, and maintain a positive and friendly attitude. Experience with problem-solving and handling client complaints is also essential.
