Main duties of the job As a Wellbeing and Activities Coordinator at Avery Healthcare, your primary role is to support residents at Alice Court Care Home in Eastbourne by providing a wide range of activities to enhance their physical, psychological, and social well-being. The job entails planning and coordinating monthly activity schedules, arranging events, and working closely with residents and their families to understand their preferences. You will be expected to foster a positive culture that respects residents' rights and values, contributing to a professional image of the home. Ideal candidates should have experience working with older people, especially in dementia care settings, and possess strong communication skills and a positive attitude towards elderly care. The role requires adherence to the company's values of caring, support, honesty, respect, and accountability. A DBS disclosure check is mandatory for this position, and Avery Healthcare will cover the cost. You should also have proof of eligibility to work in the UK.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Your focus asWellbeing andActivitiesCoordinatorwill be toprovidea wide range of activities to engage and stimulate theresidents' physical, psychological, and social well-being and tounderstandthe needto promotethe philosophy of privacy, dignity, independence, choice,rights,and fulfilment for all residents.

Other responsibilitieswillinclude:

Identifying the life history, needs, and preferences of residents by listening to them and their families to support the development of a detailed life story. Planning and submitting to the Home Manager- a monthly activity and wellbeing plan and a weekly overview. Arranging activities, events, and outings, encouraging the involvement of staff, relatives, and visitors. Maintaining a safe living and working environment, contributing to the positive and professional image of the home.
