Main duties of the job As a Mental Health Act Administrator, you will join Dunnock View in Clacton-on-Sea and become a valued member of the multidisciplinary team. Your responsibilities will include organizing First Tier Tribunals and Hospital Manager Appeal meetings, preparing paperwork, notifying parties, and processing documentation as per the Mental Health Act Code of Practice. You will also handle Mental Health Tribunals and Hospital Managers Reviews, ensuring fairness and lawfulness. Liaison with consultants and nursing teams, updating service users on section renewal and consent, and providing information about Independent Mental Health Advocacy Services are key duties. This full-time, Monday-Friday role, 9am-5pm, offers a fulfilling career.

This role is a full time position of 37.5 hours a week. Monday-Friday 9am-5pm. As a Medical Health Act Administrator you will be:

Attending Managers Review Hearings in the capacity of the MHA Administrator/Clerk and ensure the review satisfies the fundamental legal requirements of fairness reasonableness and lawfulness. Following up MHA action points included in the Care Quality Commission reports submitted following visits to clinical areas. Liaising with the consultants and nursing team to update service users information regarding renewal of sections and consent to treatments. Providing information to service users about their access to Independent Mental Heal Advocacy Services (IMHA). To be successful in this role, you'll need:

Confidence to liaise and give advice to a wide range of people from different profession Experience within a similar role Knowledge of the relevant legislation and current case law relating to the Act. Where you will be working:

Location: Dunnock View, Tendring, Clacton-on-Sea, CO16 0BX

Dunnock View is a 42-bed service, providing treatment for men and women who may have suffered trauma and are affected by Mental Health disorders.

A trauma-informed care model is used to focus on length of stay to make sure individuals are able to move as quickly and safely as possible from the service to the most appropriate and least restrictive environment for them.

Service users could be suffering from Acute mental illness, Psychosis, Schizophrenia, Bipolar, Personality Disorder, Dual diagnosis, Self-harm, Substance misuse issues.

Qualifications Essential

Confidence to liaise and give advice to a wide range of people from different professions, experience within a similar role, knowledge of the relevant legislation and current case law relating to the Act.
