Main duties of the job As an Occupational Therapist, you will be providing comprehensive OT assessments, planning, and reviewing treatment programs under supervision, identifying and actioning referrals in-house and to external agencies, and supporting the evaluation of practices at St Mary's Hospital. Youll ensure records and data are maintained following standards. To be successful, you'll need a Diploma/Degree in Occupational Therapy, UK HCPC registration or application, evidence of project research and evaluation, effective communication skills, and a commitment to promoting and safeguarding welfare.

Providing comprehensive OT assessments. Under supervision, planning and reviewing OT treatment programmes. Under supervision, identifying and actioning referrals both in-house, including support staff, and to external agencies Supporting the planning, evaluation, and audit of practices, clinical pathways and protocols at St Mary's Hospital. Ensuring that contemporaneous, written and electronic records and activity data are maintained following professional and services standards. To be successful in this role, you'll need:

Be part of the team at this 42-bed service, providing treatment for men and women who may have suffered trauma and are affected by mental health disorders.

A trauma-informed care model is used to focus on length of stay to make sure individuals are able to move as quickly and safely as possible from the service to the most appropriate and least restrictive environment for them.

Service users could be suffering from Acute mental illness, Psychosis, Schizophrenia, Bipolar, Personality Disorder, Dual diagnosis, Self-harm, Substance misuse issues.
