Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity for a Consultant Psychiatrist to join our North West Community CAMHS Team in Horsham providing leadership to deliver high-quality, person-centred care to Children and Young People.
This job attracts aRecruitment and Retention payment of £45,000structured over a three-year period as follows:
o£15,000 payable upon successful recruitment
o£10,000 payable at 12 months' service
o£10,000 payable at 24 months' service
o£10,000 payable at 36 months' service

Main duties of the job
The post-holder will: -
Provide clinical and professional leadership for the North West CAMHS Team alongside other colleagues, including clinical supervision to the medical team and to provide clinical leadership to the wider MDT.
Maintain a workload of approximately 50-60 open cases at any one time and approximately 1 new case seen per week
Attend at local governance meetings to contribute towards business planning.
Lead on the improvement of the quality of care within the team and contribute to improving quality across the system.
Be responsible for carrying out administration in line with the Trust's policies in relation to patient care, supervision of resident doctors and continuing professional development (CPD).

MB BS or equivalent medical qualification.

MRCPsych Additional clinical qualifications. SL
ELIGIBILITY Essential
Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practise at the time of appointment. Included on the GMC Specialist Register OR within six months. Approved clinician status OR able to achieve within 3 months of appointment

In good standing with GMC with respect to warning and conditions on practice
CLINICAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE Essential
Excellent knowledge in specialty Excellent oral and written communication skills in English Excellent clinical skills using bio-psycho-social perspective and wide medical knowledge

Wide range of specialist and sub-specialist experience relevant to post within NHS or comparable service
