Band 4 administrator for ASD Diagnostic waiting list initiative.
This BANK role will require day, evening and weekend working. Hours dependent on availability and appointment bookings.
To support and manage, co-ordinate, plan delivery of a waiting list initiative project for children's ASD diagnostics.
This will include stock control, booking appointments, formatting follow up letters & reports, answering queries from staff and service users, escalating where required.
Location of work may vary across Newham sites
Main duties of the job

Band 4 administrator for ASD Diagnostic waiting list initiative.
To support and manage, co-ordinate, plan delivery of a waiting list initiative project for children's ASD diagnostics.
This will include stock control, booking appointments, formatting follow up letters & reports, answering queries from staff and service users, escalating where required.
In addition, this role will also entail liaising and co-ordinating with partner organisations to facilitate smooth delivery of ASD diagnostics in preparation of cases, and uploading of completed diagnostic reports.
Main duties include: formatting and checking clinical correspondence, reports, letters to GPs, legal professionals, service users and other agencies; to organise all clinic appointments on RiO and liaise with MDT. to arrange any necessary transport and/or interpreters, and book clinic rooms for any clinic appointments when required; and to be responsible for liaising/communicating with patients, legal professionals, other clinicians and members of the multidisciplinary team as appropriate.

Experience Essential
Good knowledge of speciality specific patient pathways Understanding of patient priorities and performance targets Thorough knowledge of healthcare administrative systems and processes Awareness of Primary Care, GP and Community Services Experience of using a full range of IT/Patient data systems including: oMicrosoft Office: Outlook, Word oExcel oRiO oChoose & Book oSpeciality specific databases oOracle In-depth understanding of Medical Terminology appropriate to specialism Confidentiality and Data Protection Health and Safety Equality and Diversity
Qualifications Essential
GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths grades A-C
