ROLE OVERVIEW and PURPOSE:
As a Front Office Volunteer, you will be the welcoming face of our organization, responsible for providing exceptional customer service to visitors, clients, and staff. This role is crucial in creating a positive first impression and ensuring smooth operations at the front desk. Please note, this position is an unpaid volunteer role.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Greeting and Welcoming: Welcome visitors and clients in a warm and professional manner. Direct them to the appropriate staff or area within the organization.
• Answering Inquiries: Respond to phone calls, emails, and in-person inquiries courteously and promptly. Provide information about the organization's programs, services, and events.
• Administrative Support: Assist with various administrative tasks, such as filing, data entry, and preparing documents. Maintain cleanliness and organization at the front desk area.
• Appointment Scheduling: Schedule appointments for patients and visitors as needed. Ensure accuracy and efficiency in managing appointment calendars.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Friendly and approachable demeanor.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office).
• Willingness to learn and adapt to changing needs.
COMMITMENT:
• Minimum of 2 days per week, with availability between Monday through Friday
• Volunteers must commit to serving for at least 2 months
