Position Summary
The Quantity Surveyor supports Civils project management by tracking all resources, and information necessary to track and predict project utilization to completion of work; supports project administrative activities for the successful planning, tracking, and reporting of essential metrics to ensure the success of company objectives. Must be highly motivated and self-managed.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
Performance Expectations:
• Coordinate with Civils department management to monitor, measure and report material receipt and installation, billed and unbilled work, and percentage completion for all projects.
• Calculate the percent of completion for each project with the support of the Civils field teams.
• Review and verify that all materials and quantities of work performed are reported for each project in a timely manner.
• Coordinate weekly meetings with Civils field management for project quantity reports.
• Prepare weekly and monthly quantity control reports for submittal to management.
• Communicate accurate information necessary for quantity tracking on civils projects.
• Coordinate, manage, and track budgeted vs. actual percentages to date for each project.
• Update, maintain, and distribute accurate project reporting and controls to the Civils Manager, the Civils Project Managers and the Civils Field Supervisor on a timely basis.
• Monitor and ensure adherence to project quantities.
• Proactively inform Project Managers of potential issues, concerns, and delays regarding project materials and work percentages.
• Other duties as may be defined as necessary.
Competency (Knowledge & Skills) Required:
• Knowledge of civil construction techniques and equipment with emphasis on bulk earthworks, concrete foundations/pits, roadworks and security fencing.
• Attentive to detail
• Strong numerical skills
• Previous experience with tracking software preferred
• Previous experience in the oil and gas industry preferred
Minimum Qualifications
Education and Qualifications Expected / Required:
• Bachelor's degree in Civils Engineering or related discipline. Sufficient relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree qualification.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
• English and Arabic language and writing skills are required.
Experience Expected / Required:
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Quantity Surveying or related role.
• Experience of Microsoft Office with focus on Word and Excel.
Other Relevant Competency Requirements:
• Driving License is required.

• This position will be field based, must be in good physical condition.
