About this role

40-Hour Compressed Workweek

Day Shift (Monday to Friday)

• Regular 5-day workweek (Monday to Friday) or a compressed 4-day schedule consisting of four 10-hour shifts (Monday to Thursday).

• Multiple schedule options are available, offering flexibility in start times (between 5:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m.) and corresponding end times.

Evening Shift (Monday to Thursday)

• Monday to Thursday, from 3:15 p.m. to 1:45 a.m.

Hourly wage ranging from $27.24/hour to $38.36/hour and Evening shift premium of $1.75/hour.

Contributing in this role means :

• Operate welding machines (semi-automatic, FCAW, CO2) to perform fillet or groove welds;

• Read and interpret welding blueprints or instructions;

• Follow quality procedures, work instructions, or the company's manufacturing standards;

• Perform torch cutting;

• Set up and adjust machines, gauges, etc., for amperage, voltage, pressure, feed rate, and the speed of rollers, rotators, or positioners;

• Meet the requirements for non-destructive testing or equivalent inspections;

• Pay close visual attention, note and report material, tool, or equipment defects to the supervisor, and protect them from damage;

• Gouge and clean metal parts;

• Operate an overhead crane;

• Apply the best welding techniques to ensure optimal productivity and minimal distortion of parts, while maintaining weld quality and deposition rate;

• Perform any other related duties.

What we are looking for

• Possess a vocational diploma in welding (D.E.P.) or an equivalent ASP certification;

• Minimum of one (1) year of experience required in the fabrication of welded steel structures (an asset);

• Hold FCAW / SMAW / GMAW / SAW competency cards and certification from the Canadian Welding Bureau (an asset);

• Experience operating overhead cranes, as well as in lifting, rigging, and loading operations (an asset);

• Proficient in reading blueprints and welding symbols;

• Experience with welding machines, grinders, torches, and arc gouging tools;

• Knowledge of rigging operations and loading methods;

• Manual dexterity, autonomy, and strong teamwork skills;

• Spoken and written proficiency in French and English (an asset).
