About this role
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Assist with maintaining landscaping tools, equipment, and materials
• Support team members in completing landscaping and groundskeeping tasks safely and on time
• Help maintain clean, tidy, and well-presented outdoor areas across all properties
• Perform basic landscaping duties such as mowing lawns, trimming edges, watering plants, raking leaves, and removing debris
• Assist with planting flowers, shrubs, and trees as directed by the supervisor
• Help monitor irrigation systems and report leaks or faults to management
• Identify and report any visible issues with grounds, pathways, or outdoor areas
• Support minor outdoor repairs (e.g., fences, irrigation hoses) under supervision
• Assist contractors and team members working in outdoor areas, as directed
• Help with event setup in outdoor spaces when required
• Follow all safety procedures and use protective equipment appropriately
• Keep simple records of completed daily tasks as instructed
Specific Duties & Responsibilities:
• Perform daily checks of assigned outdoor areas to ensure cleanliness and safety
• Assist with organizing and storing landscaping tools and supplies
• Help collect and transport materials from suppliers or on-site storage
• Support planting schedules and seasonal landscaping activities
• Assist with maintaining plant health by watering, applying fertilizer, and removing weeds
• Follow instructions from supervisors regarding work priorities and assignments
• Maintain the cleanliness of work areas, storage spaces, and grounds
• Work alongside the maintenance team and assist in general duties when required
• Participate in basic safety checks of tools and equipment before use
Work Schedule & Hours:
• Standard workweek: 45 hours per week
• Estimated monthly hours: approximately 195 hours per month (based on a 45-hour workweek)
• Must be flexible with working hours based on operational needs
• Required to be on call as needed
• Ability to work after-hours, weekends, overnight shifts, and extended hours during emergencies
• Availability required during severe weather events, including storms and hurricanes, to support property protection and clean-up efforts
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, carrying, and moving materials (up to 50 lbs)
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and work outdoors for extended periods
• Comfortable working in varying weather conditions, including heat, humidity, and rain
• Ability to use basic landscaping tools and equipment safely (training provided)
• Good coordination and ability to follow instructions carefully
• Stamina to complete repetitive tasks such as mowing, raking, and trimming
• Willingness to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)

Qualifications & Experience:
• 1-2 years of landscaping experience required; on-the-job training will be provided
• Basic education (secondary school level preferred)
• Interest in outdoor work and landscaping is an asset
• Valid Cayman Islands Driver’s License required
• Group 4 Driver’s License and/or forklift operation experience is an asset
CI $ 9.00 - 15.00 per hour
