We are seeking a friendly, professional and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Occupational Health Technician. No previous occupational health experience is required, as comprehensive training will be provided.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for a fresh challenge, a career change, or their first step into the healthcare, wellbeing or occupational health sector. The role may particularly appeal to candidates with a background or interest in science, biomed, sports science, health and fitness, wellbeing, customer service or care-related environments, although this is not essential.
You'll spend your time travelling to client sites, carrying out workplace health screening activities, drug and alcohol testing, and supporting the day-to-day administration required to deliver a high-quality service.
About the Role
As an Occupational Health Technician, you'll work directly with employees across a variety of industries, helping businesses promote healthier and safer working environments.
No two days are the same. One day you may be conducting health surveillance on-site, while the next you could be travelling to a different location, completing workplace drug and alcohol testing, or supporting the administration and coordination of client appointments.
Key Responsibilities
Occupational Health Duties
• Conduct health surveillance and occupational health screening assessments
• Carry out workplace drug and alcohol testing, including urine and oral fluid sample collection
• Follow company procedures and industry standards at all times
• Deliver a professional and positive client experience
Administrative Duties
• Complete accurate reports and electronic records following appointments
• Upload and maintain confidential health records
• Schedule and coordinate appointments where required
• Respond to telephone and email enquiries professionally
• Support the administration of testing programmes and client bookings
• Ensure all paperwork and documentation is completed accurately and on time
• Assist with general office and operational administration

Essential
• Full UK driving licence
• Flexibility to travel and occasionally stay away overnight

Working Hours & Travel
• Travel is an essential part of the role
• Client appointments typically last between 2 and 7 hours
• Occasional overnight stays will be required (accommodation and allowances provided)
• Daily hours vary according to workload and travel requirements but fall between 6:00am and 8:00pm, Monday to Friday
• Up to 39.5 contracted hours per week
