What You'll Do
In this role, you will help maintain the safety, function, and appearance of South Slope facilities by completing routine repairs, troubleshooting maintenance needs, performing preventative upkeep, and coordinating with vendors or contractors when outside support is needed.
Your Day-to-Day Will Include
• Repair and maintenance of basic plumbing, HVAC, electrical, hardware, carpentry, and general facility systems.
• Service equipment, small engines, and automotive vehicles.
• Inspect contractor work and identify projects needing vendor support.
• Update electronic records for repairs, inspections, and preventative maintenance.
• Keep common areas maintained and assist with occasional cleaning.
• Respond to emergencies, closures, and weather-related needs, including snow and ice removal.
• Operate a company vehicle and other equipment
• Follow safety protocols and support a safe environment for all employees, visitors, and members.
What You'll Bring
• Mechanical knowledge with experience in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot, communicate clearly, and work independently or with a team.
• Basic computer skills for records, reporting, and documentation.
• Safety first mindset, detail-oriented, and proactive problem solver.
• Valid driver’s license and authorization to work in the United States.
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Two years of facilities maintenance, training, education, or related work experience.
Work Environment
Monday-Friday, 8:00am- 4:30pm, 40 hours per week with occasional overtime requirement to support business needs. Work is performed primarily indoors and outdoors with exposure to various weather conditions depending on the nature of the tasks. May be exposed to potentially hazardous conditions, noise, and temperature extremes. Position involves frequent bending, standing, kneeling, climbing ladders, reaching below and above shoulders, and some lifting while performing job duties. Wrist, hand and finger dexterity is required to operate various equipment/tools.
Travel:
This position requires daily driving.
