Sample Supports is seeking motivated undergraduate students interested in gaining hands-on experience in residential services, case coordination, quality assurance, and community-based supports.

This internship offers meaningful exposure to residential service delivery while working alongside experienced professionals in a person-centered organization. Whether you're pursuing social work, psychology, healthcare administration, or another helping profession, you'll develop practical skills that prepare you for a career in human services.

What You'll Learn

As a Residential Services Intern, you'll gain experience in:

What You'll Do

Working under the supervision of Residential Services leadership, you will:

• Assist with quality assurance reviews and documentation audits.

• Support compliance monitoring for Medicaid and state regulations.

• Participate in residential visits and provider support activities.

• Help maintain accurate client records and documentation.

• Track training requirements, incident reports, and compliance materials.

• Communicate professionally with providers, families, guardians, and team members.

• Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and case discussions.

• Learn residential licensing requirements and agency standards.

• Observe and report health, safety, or compliance concerns.

• Build professional relationships with clients, providers, and community partners.

• Gain limited exposure to direct support services to better understand residential programming.

• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality and professional standards.

Who Should Apply

Preferred Requirements

• Ability to pass a background check

• Valid driver's license (depending on assignment)

• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)

• Mandatory Reporter Training (may be completed during the internship)
