Operations Coordinator (OC) – Job Responsibilities
The Operations Coordinator assists in upholding the goals and standards that support The Roger Bacon Academy instructional philosophy, and monitors the implementation of operational performance under the direction of the Headmaster. The Operations Coordinator monitors the quality of operations, and provides information in written form to the Headmaster regarding operational needs, status, and recommendations for improvement to ensure compliance with professional quality assurance standards as set forth by The Roger Bacon Academy. Demonstration of a professional attitude toward teachers, students, parents, and the public is a must at all times.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
· Assists the Headmaster with compliance, discipline, scheduling, curriculum implementation, DPI reporting, staff development, budgets, and publicity.
· Assists with required state testing and accountability procedures at the school as delegated by the Headmaster.
· Attends any DPI professional development sessions in the assigned areas at the discretion of the Headmaster.
· Monitors designated areas of the total school program and reports to the Headmaster any inefficiencies.
· Assists with communicating school policies and achievements with parents, guardians, and community leaders as delegated by the Headmaster.
· Conducts weekly room inspections according to the specifications set forth by the Headmaster.
· Coordinates all aspects of the Child Nutrition Program, if applicable at assigned school.
· Works with the bus monitor regarding record keeping, scheduling, bus routes, student seating assignments, and discipline, if applicable at assigned school.
Other: The Operations Coordinator reports to the Headmaster and may have other duties as assigned. This position is a 12-month RBA position and follows the RBA calendar as assigned by the Headmaster. Applicants for OC positions should be willing to be located/serve at any of our four campuses based on school operational needs and budgets based on school enrollment. Overnight travel also may be required.
Qualifications
· A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in education.
· Must be Continuing Status with at least three years of experience in a teaching role. Additional experience in a leadership role (i.e. lead teacher, academic coach) or equivalent is preferred.
· A Master’s degree or enrollment in a Master’s program in educational leadership or similar is preferred.
· An effective communicator, with strong oral and written skills.
· Must have or be able to obtain a ServSafe or Foodservice Sanitation Manager’s Certification if applying to an RBA school that offers a Child Nutrition Program.
· Physical ability to lift/carry 20 lbs. and dexterity to perform the duties & responsibilities of the job.
