Position Overview:
The Senior Quality Control Technician will perform testing and inspection procedures to ensure our products meet the highest quality and safety standards. This role involves working closely with internal teams to identify and resolve quality issues, maintaining accurate records, and adhering to all regulatory and quality standards. It is a full-time, on-site position.
Key Responsibilities:
• Quality inspections: Perform complex inspections and analyses of incoming materials, in-process products, and finished products to ensure compliance with RASIRC and customer requirements. Utilize sophisticated laboratory instruments and equipment, such as gas chromatographs.
• Data Analysis / SPC: Analyze test results, compare them against specifications for compliance, and document findings accurately and promptly. Analyze data to identify trends and causes of quality deviations using statistical process control (SPC). Report any anomalous findings to the management and assist in driving corrective action or additional data collection as directed.
• Troubleshoot Issues: Identify and report any deviations or non-conformities in the production process. Work with production, quality and engineering teams to implement corrective actions.
• Internal Audits: Assist with internal audits of production processes and facilities to ensure compliance with procedures, specifications, and housekeeping (5S) requirements.
• Control of non-conforming materials: Identify, quarantine, document, and track non-conforming materials and products. Generate and share reports detailing the nature of the non-conformity. Host material review boards with associated staff to determine material dispositions.
• Evaluation of Customer Returns (RMA): Work closely with the customer-facing team to assist with the appropriate disposition and response.
• Maintain Equipment: Ensure all equipment is calibrated, maintained, and functioning correctly. Perform routine maintenance and arrange for repairs when necessary.
• Documentation: Maintain detailed and accurate records of all quality control activities, test results, and inspections. Prepare reports as required by the management.
• Continual Improvement: Participate in continual improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
• Mentorship and Training: Mentor, guide, and train junior technicians in proper procedures and quality standards.
Qualifications:
• Education: High school graduate (minimum); AA or higher preferred.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in a quality control, laboratory environment, or equivalent military experience.
• Technical Skills: Strong understanding of quality control principles and process optimization techniques. Certification in Six Sigma, Lean, or related quality improvement methodologies as well as basic knowledge of statistics is a plus. Fluency in Microsoft Office applications, especially MS Excel, Word, Teams, and Outlook. Basic ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Personal skills: Fast and willing learner and teacher; ability to follow and give instruction; strong attention to detail; leadership skills with the ability to mentor and train junior staff
• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal English communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Problem-solving: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions based on data and analysis.
• Flexibility: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Other Requirements:
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
• Ability to lift and move up to 35 pounds.
• Must be willing and able to work in environments that require frequent bending, reaching, and lifting.
• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.

• The salary range for this position is $30.00 - $36.00 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
