Ruth & Naomi's Mission is seeking compassionate and skilled Cooks to join our Food Services team.
Our Food Services team plays a vital role in supporting the people we serve by preparing nutritious, high-quality meals with care and dignity. This position supports operations across two kitchens: one serving shelter guests and community partners, and another supporting participants in supportive housing, recovery programs, and older adult shelter services.

What You'll Do
• Prepare nutritious and appealing meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner services • Follow established menus while accommodating dietary needs and available inventory • Ensure food is stored, labelled, and rotated safely using FoodSafe standards • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and food preparation areas • Support kitchen safety practices and documentation requirements • Work collaboratively with kitchen staff, volunteers, and program participants • Help create a positive and respectful dining experience for those we serve
What You'll Bring
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a commercial or high-volume kitchen environment • FoodSafe Level 1 certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire) • Strong cooking and meal preparation skills • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment • Excellent teamwork and communication skills • Compassionate and respectful approach toward vulnerable populations
Compensation & Benefits
