Job Responsibilities:
• Develop and lead implement the Community Engagement Plan to sustain stakeholder relationships.
• Maintain frequent communication with surrounding communities to promote effective collaboration and strengthen trust.
• Plan, Coordinate and facilitate public consultations and stakeholder engagement activities.
• Manage the Port's Grievance Mechanism.
• Record, investigate and monitor community concerns and grievances ensuring corrective actions and effective resolution.
• Maintain and regularly update the stakeholder database to support strategic engagement, communication and reporting.
• Coordinate communication with fishermen, NGOs, local authorities, community organizations and key interest groups.
• Support the planning and implementation of community investment initiatives.
• Monitor and report social performance indicators to assess stakeholders’ engagement effectiveness and community impact.
• Prepare monthly social performance reports.
• Assist with Environmental and Social Impact Assessments (ESIAs) as required.
• Collaborate with HSE department to implementation and promote the Environmental Compliance Plan.
• Any other duties that may be assigned to you from time to time.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences, Community Development, Sociology, Environmental Management, Communications or a related discipline.
• Minimum three (3) years' experience in stakeholder engagement or community relations.
• Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
