Meals on Wheels New Mexico seeks a Staff Delivery Driver to drive and deliver meals and other scheduled items to clients following a set schedule and route, ensuring each delivery is made in a friendly, safe, and timely manner. Deliveries will be made using a company vehicle.

We require:
• A deep belief in our values of Compassion, Reliability, Service, and Teamwork
• Basic computer literacy
• Maintained high standard of person hygiene
• Willingness to work with diverse populations
• Valid driver’s license
• Consistent, excellent customer service with a positive attitude
• Passing background, drug, and DMV check
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and be physically able to bend, stoop, walk, and climb stairs
Accountabilities include:
• Support the mission, vision, and values of MOWNM
• Must know the Greater Albuquerque Metropolitan, Rio Rancho, and Corrales areas well and feel comfortable driving in many different situations, including inclement weather
• Abide by all traffic laws and regulations (i.e., speed limit, seat belts, etc.)
• Ensure meals are delivered within established times
• Ensure all food transport equipment is clean and well maintained
• Effectively represent MOWNM in a positive manner with compassion, great customer service, treating all staff, volunteers, and clients with dignity and respect always

Why we exist…
Meals on Wheels New Mexico is a private 501(c)3 nonprofit corporation founded in 1972. We are the only home delivered meal program in our area preparing special diets for a variety of needs, including diabetes, renal failure, heart issues, chewing and swallowing problems, etc. We provide our services to anyone of any age. There are no restrictions for age or disability. We currently have clients in their 20s to our oldest client who just celebrated her 109th birthday. We can provide meals for any duration whether they are needed during a period of recuperation or for many years.
