About this role
We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team as Senior Associate in Fund Services (Private Equity). This role provides structured training and exposure to fund services activities, with the expectation that the successful candidate will gradually progress from operational tasks to more complex accounting and reporting as well as leadership responsibilities over time.
Primary Responsibilities:
Krypton Fund Services utilizes FIS Private Capital Suite and FIS Digital Data Exchange - relevant experience is a prerequisite for this position.
• Act as a senior individual contributor within the team, providing strong technical and operational support.
• Provide periodic updates and feedback to management on client relations, investor relations, operational matters, and departmental initiatives.
• Assist management in the development and implementation of new or enhanced policies and procedures.
• Build and maintain client relationships and act as a key contact for fund investors and industry partners, as required.
• Ability to independently handle and resolve complex and escalated items.
• Participate in new client meetings and provide clear communication of applicable launch or conversion requirements.
• Maintain detailed knowledge of the FIS products utilized and provide recommendations, coordination, and support for enhancements or modifications to enable optimal system usage.
Team Role:
• Perform comprehensive fund accounting services, including Capital Account Statement (CAS) preparation, maintenance of financial books and records, capital call and distribution calculations, waterfall calculations, performance ratios, and other services relevant to servicing closed-ended fund clients and their investors.
• Understand, review, compare, and critique fund documentation (e.g. LPA, Subscription Documents, PPM), with the ability to model relevant scenarios, permutations, and outcomes aligned with service requirements.
• Compile financial reports in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
• Prepare investor statements in line with required reporting standards.
• Monitor and reconcile money movements.
• Initiate wire payments and account transfer transactions through internet banking platforms.
• Maintain and update investor details within a centralized database, ensuring data accuracy.
• Process investor capital activity documentation and follow up with investors for missing or incomplete information.
• Distribute reports such as contract notes, financial statements, capital call notices, distribution notices, valuation statements, and other client or investor communications.
• Liaise with external service providers to support client servicing.
• Liaise with internal service departments to meet client service requirements.
• Handle ad hoc investor and client queries efficiently and professionally.
• Adhere to the company’s service model and policies, while maintaining effective communication with investment managers, investors, general partners, brokers, custodians, banks, and auditors.
• Foster strong client relationships and ensure consistently high service delivery.
• Support the implementation and ongoing compliance with the company’s global AML/CFT framework.
• Support the delivery of the company’s FATCA/CRS service offerings.
• Demonstrate comfort and capability in recommending process improvements.
• Participate in system optimisation initiatives and ad hoc projects contributing to ongoing operational enhancements.
• Provide guidance and knowledge sharing support to junior team members when required.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional qualification (e.g. CPA, ACCA, CFA) preferred.
• 3–6 years’ experience in fund accounting (private equity space) or a related financial services environment.
• Strong understanding of investment products, fund structures, and financial markets.
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage priorities and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of AML/CFT regulatory requirements is advantageous.
