Join IN2 in Berlin IN2 is looking for a passionate Sustainability Engineering Intern to join our Berlin sustainability and building-physics team. You will support the development of environmentally responsible, energy-efficient and healthy buildings while gaining practical experience across real projects. The position is open to candidates from engineering, architecture, environmental design and other relevant technical backgrounds. Your responsibilities
• Support sustainability assessments for new-build and refurbishment projects.
• Assist with LEED, BREEAM, DGNB and other building-certification processes.
• Help gather, review and organise sustainability evidence and project information.
• Support energy, carbon, daylight, comfort and building-performance studies.
• Research materials, technologies, regulations and sustainable-design solutions.
• Assist with sustainability reports, presentations and client submissions.
• Coordinate information with architects, engineers, contractors and manufacturers.
• Support the development of project-specific sustainability strategies.
Your profile
• Currently studying, or recently graduated in, Sustainability, Environmental Engineering, Architecture, Building Physics, Energy Engineering or a related discipline.
• A strong interest in climate-conscious design and sustainable construction.
• Basic understanding of energy efficiency, carbon reduction or environmental assessment.
• Familiarity with LEED, BREEAM, DGNB, energy modelling or life-cycle assessment is an advantage.
• Strong research, analytical and communication skills.
• Comfortable working in English; German language skills are an advantage.
• Organised, proactive and comfortable working with technical documentation.
• Interested in collaborating with multidisciplinary design teams.
