Director, Sales
Reports to: CRO
Description
The Director, Sales focuses on the pre and post phases of the project lifecycle: generating sales with new and existing clients, and following up post-project to gauge client satisfaction as a means of ensuring repeat business.
Roles & Responsibilities
• Sales Generation
• Develop and build a pipeline of opportunities and strategies to meet sales goals.
• Leverage, orchestrate and rally company resources to achieve our full potential on sales opportunities.
• Initiate new customer relationships via cold calls, emails, LinkedIn, virtual and in-person meetings, conferences and social networking.
• Develop project plans and timelines, calculate pricing and determine project feasibility, partnering with Operations team, as applicable.
• Travel as required (i.e., conferences, in-persons, etc.).
• Partner with Marketing to devise innovative strategies to market Full Circle products and services; agree on tactics, timelines and responsibilities to ensure that the targets are met.
• Partnership Cultivation
• Grow existing customer partnerships via consistent, meaningful contact and productive project oversight, offering a consultative customer service approach.
• Respond to client inquiries in a prompt timeframe that meets company standard.
• Seek opportunities to upsell our product line.
• Advocate on behalf of our customers to communicate desires and market realities to internal teams.
• Reporting & Collection
• Use Salesforce to record all activity accurately, comprehensively and by deadline.
• Create sales reports and provide feedback to leadership.
• Monitor invoices to ensure efficient, accurate and timely processing.
• Work with the Finance department if any clients do not resolve any past-due invoices; this may include the facilitation of payment terms negotiation.
• Brand Ambassadorship
• Identify and fulfill opportunities for brand recognition, including attendance at trade shows and events.
• Volunteer to serve the industry (i.e., become a local, regional or national board member; chair a committee, etc.).
• Professional Development
• Update job knowledge by participating in conferences and educational opportunities.
• Promote expertise and commitment to the MRX industry via LinkedIn.
Qualifications
• Experience
• Bachelor’s degree
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in market research
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in outbound online sample sales
