About this role
About the RoleThis is a founding-team product engineering role at a Berlin-based, pre-seed AI-native fintech startup building autonomous agent infrastructure for private market operations — think fund accounting, treasury, transfer agency, and reporting. You'll design and build the operational interfaces through which private-market teams interact with AI agents: review screens, exception-handling flows, approval workflows, and the design system that ties it all together.
You'll be joining a small, high-caliber team at an early stage, with direct influence over product direction, architecture, and the UX patterns that make AI agent output trustworthy and easy to act on. The company operates in a space similar to Bolo AI and FurtherAI, targeting asset servicers and asset managers looking to automate complex back-office workflows end-to-end.
What You'll DoDevelop and own the company's design system and shared UX patterns across the product
Build purpose-built product interfaces that connect operations teams to AI agents and underlying data sources (ERPs, banking systems, email, portals)
Implement human-in-the-loop flows for reviewing, approving, and acting on AI agent outputs — surfacing edge cases clearly and routing them to the right people
Design and build exception-handling and review screens that are intuitive within complex operational contexts
Conduct user research with operations teams to identify pain points, validate design decisions, and continuously refine product features
Collaborate closely with co-founders and cross-functional teammates in a fast-moving, small team environment
What We're Looking ForRequired:
Proficiency in modern frontend development with React and TypeScript (Tailwind CSS experience is a plus)
Demonstrated experience designing and implementing design systems and reusable UI component libraries for product interfaces
Hands-on experience building human-in-the-loop UX for AI/ML workflows — you understand what makes agent output feel trustworthy and auditable
Ability to design and build review and exception-handling flows within complex, data-dense operational interfaces
Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills — you're comfortable working directly with founders and end users alike
1–7 years of relevant product engineering experience
Nice to Have:
Background in fintech, fund operations, or enterprise SaaS
Experience at companies operating in the AI/ML or private markets space
Familiarity with agentic workflow patterns, LLM orchestration, or audit-trail UX

Early-stage equity opportunity as part of a founding team
High-impact, high-ownership role with significant scope to shape the product
