Core responsibilities - Oversee preparation, review, and timely filing of federal, state, and local tax returns and related schedules. - Manage tax provision and reporting processes, ensuring accuracy of calculations, documentation, and reconciliations. - Develop and execute tax planning strategies to optimize tax positions and support organizational goals. - Monitor legislative and regulatory changes; assess impact and implement compliant updates to processes. - Partner with Finance, Accounting, Legal, and external advisors to resolve tax issues and support audits. - Maintain strong internal controls, workpapers, and records to support compliance and audit readiness. - Identify process improvements and automation opportunities to increase efficiency and reduce errors. - Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to tax staff; manage timelines and deliverables. Required skills and qualifications - Strong knowledge of corporate tax compliance, tax accounting, and relevant regulations. - Experience with tax provision, reconciliations, and audit support. - Proficiency with tax and accounting systems; advanced Excel and data analysis skills. - Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and documentation abilities. - Proven project management skills with ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities. - Preferred : CPA, EA, or equivalent credential; prior leader...
