Job description Are you an ambitious Instrumentation Technician (E&I) from South Africa who is ready to build an international career in the Netherlands? As an Instrumentation Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining, calibrating and troubleshooting instrumentation and electrical systems that are essential for safe and reliable plant operations. You will join a highly skilled maintenance team where safety, quality and continuous improvement are key priorities. This position is based in Geleen, one of the largest industrial and petrochemical hubs in the Netherlands. Your responsibilities Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on instrumentation and electrical systems. Calibrate pressure, temperature, flow and level transmitters. Troubleshoot electrical and instrumentation faults. Install and commission new field instrumentation. Read and interpret P&IDs, loop drawings and electrical schematics. Assist during plant shutdowns and turnarounds. Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and quality standards. Contribute to improving plant reliability and equipment performance. You have: A recognised trade qualification in Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I), Instrumentation or Electrical Engineering. Experience as an Instrumentation Technician or E&I Technician. Experience within the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical or Chemical industry. Knowledge of process instrumentation, control valves and field devices. Experience reading P&IDs and electrical drawings. Good English communication skills. Afrikaans language skills (preferred). A proactive attitude and willingness to relocate to the Netherlands.
