In this role, you will work as part of a technical department and help keep machines, production lines and installations running smoothly. You will solve technical issues, carry out preventive maintenance and contribute to a safe, reliable and efficient production process. This position is suitable for technicians with experience in industrial maintenance, mechanics, electromechanics, automation or technical service. What you will do As a Maintenance Technician, you are responsible for maintaining, repairing and improving technical installations and production equipment. You will work in a practical, hands-on environment where no two days are the same. Your responsibilities may include: Performing preventive and corrective maintenance on machines, production lines and technical installations. Diagnosing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic or hydraulic faults. Repairing and replacing machine parts, sensors, motors, pumps, conveyors or other technical components. Supporting production teams when technical problems occur. Carrying out inspections and basic testing of equipment. Reading and using technical drawings, electrical diagrams or machine documentation. Registering maintenance activities and technical findings. Thinking along about improvements in reliability, safety and efficiency. Working according to safety standards and company procedures. Cooperating with colleagues from production, engineering and technical service. Depending on your experience, the role can be more mechanically, electrically or electromechanically focused. What you bring For the Portuguese market, we are looking for practical technicians with a solid technical education and hands-on experience in an industrial environment. You have: A technical education such as Curso Técnico Profissional / Nível 4 or higher in one of the following areas: Mecatrónica Manutenção Industrial Eletromecânica Eletrotecnia Automação Mecânica Industrial Technology or similar At least 2 years of experience in industrial maintenance, technical service, production maintenance or machine maintenance. Good mechanical and/or electrical troubleshooting skills. Experience with industrial equipment, production lines, machinery or automated systems. Basic knowledge of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic or hydraulic systems. The ability to read technical drawings or electrical schematics is a strong advantage. Experience with PLC-controlled machinery is a plus, but not always required. A practical, hands-on mindset. A safe and responsible way of working.
