About this role
As a machine operator, you’ll work at the heart of an innovative recycling company that transforms old foam materials into new end products, such as carpet underlays and insulation panels. The foam, processed at other facilities, arrives at our site in Alphen aan den Rijn in large blocks of up to 5,500 kilos. That’s where your work begins. You will be responsible for operating various machines in the production line, including the flake mill, mixing chamber, discharge cylinder, and laminating machine. You’ll feed the machines with recycled foam, set them up correctly, and monitor the production process. Accuracy and adherence to instructions are key to ensuring product quality. In addition, you will supply raw materials and semi-finished products using a forklift. Don’t have a license yet? No problem, you can obtain it through Luba. During the process, foam is shredded, glued, steamed, and laminated. You’ll make sure the right materials are in place, machines are running properly, and you’ll intervene when needed. A tidy and safe workspace is important, and together with your colleagues, you’ll ensure the entire process runs smoothly and efficiently. You will work from 6.00-15.00) - Physically fit, eager to learn, and accurate in your work - Good command of Dutch or English - Responsible and safety-conscious - Forklift license (or willingness to obtain one via Luba) - Willingness to work in one of those two shifts in the future (06:00–15:00 and 14:00–23:00)
