As an SHE Officer, you will coordinate and oversee SHE policy at Sif's Maasvlakte II location. As the first point of contact, you will be involved in all aspects of safety, health, and environment, and you will stay up to date on the relevant laws and regulations in these areas. Your main challenge will be improving the safety culture within our organization. You will also bring structure to safety, health, and environmental matters through process improvements and by writing or improving procedures. Every day, you will carry out several observation rounds through the factory, the outdoor site, and our port. During these observation rounds, you will oversee inspections of materials and equipment, observe employee behavior, and watch for unsafe or unhealthy practices and unsafe situations. When new employees join, you will conduct the induction for new staff. - Determining, following up on, and monitoring measures resulting from observation rounds. - Promoting safe and healthy behavior. - Preparing and coordinating toolbox talks for all employees. - Maintaining and updating the port facility's security plans. - Serving as the point of contact for port facility security. - Carrying out and coordinating risk assessments (RI&E/TRA). - Maintaining the action plan resulting from the Risk Inventory & Evaluation. - Coordinating, analyzing, and following up on incidents. - Preparing reports for the Management Team. - Contributing to internal and external audits. - Managing and maintaining the HSE systems used, and training employees in the correct use of the system.
