Senior Engineer Electrical ID 3567 Job description For our client in Amsterdam we are hiring a Senior Engineer Electrical . As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing your assigned scope within a project. Drawing on your experience, you will take on a mentoring and guiding role within the engineering team. You will ensure the effective and timely completion of design phases - from initial concepts through to detailed technical documentation - across 3D models, schematics, and data sheets. You are accountable for the quality of the engineering work delivered under your scope, with a solid understanding of the challenges involved in multidisciplinary shipbuilding environments. Additionally, you'll support department growth by mentoring junior staff, refining technical standards in collaboration with management, and fostering technical innovation. Technical Responsibilities • Ensure that all work complies with technical specifications, contractual requirements, and applicable industry regulations. • Evaluate the buildability and technical feasibility of the vessel in close coordination with other disciplines. • Make sure all design work meets the requirements of classification societies and flag states. • Recognize and address technical challenges early, offering cross-disciplinary solutions where appropriate. • Notify the Project Engineer of any missing data, technical inconsistencies, or issues affecting the scope. • Contribute to the evolution of internal standards and best practices. • Follow established procedures and standards for safety, quality, and environmental compliance throughout the design process. • Provide guidance and coaching to engineers while ensuring information, specifications, and any changes are processed accurately and on time. • Conduct thorough checks of engineering outputs - including drawings and technical documents - before release to production or ext...
