About this role
As a Mechanical Maintenance Technician, your responsibilities include: Performing preventive maintenance on production machinery, conveyors, packaging lines, and utilities. Inspecting critical machine components such as bearings, chains, sensors, and seals. Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and basic hydraulic faults. Testing and releasing equipment after repairs. Carrying out inspections and condition monitoring to identify wear, leaks, unusual noises, and performance issues. Recording maintenance activities and findings in the CMMS. Installing, dismantling, and modifying machine components during maintenance and production changeovers. Assisting with technical improvements and production line optimizations. Working according to HACCP food safety and hygiene standards. Applying Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) procedures to ensure safe maintenance activities. Collaborating closely with operators, engineers, planners, and fellow maintenance technicians. Supporting continuous improvement initiatives such as 5S, TPM, root cause analysis, and standardization projects. Managing spare parts responsibly and advising on critical stock levels. Functie-eisen You are a proactive technician who enjoys working in a team and takes ownership of technical challenges. You work safely, accurately, and have a strong focus on quality. You also have: An MBO Level 3 or 4 diploma (or international equivalent) in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Automation, Installation Technology, or a related technical discipline. Experience in industrial maintenance within a production or manufacturing environment. Knowledge of mechanical drives, bearings, chains, gears, pneumatics, and basic hydraulics. Basic understanding of PLC inputs and outputs (programming experience is not required). Experience working with motors, sensors, frequency drives, and conveyor systems. Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) is an advantage. A valid VCA certificate, LOTO training, and NEN 3140 certification are beneficial, or willingness to obtain them. Good communication skills in English. Dutch is an advantage but not required.
