Request for IBO-volunteer support Welcome at IBO-Nederland IBO welcomes new and inspiring projects that contribute to the world, by reducing poverty and inequality and stimulate human solidarity. IBO-volunteers effectively and selflessly contribute to the realization of projects for the benefit of people, regardless of their nationality or religious and political convictions. In an international workcamp, 10 to 15 (mostly young) adults are involved in a non-profit project for two to three weeks. For the volunteers, workcamps are an opportunity to get to know other cultures, volunteer abroad and make new friends. As a project host, you can implement your work project inexpensively through a workcamp and at the same time enable intensive intercultural exchange with the local population: host people from all over the world in your community for two to three weeks, meet different cultures and enrich everyday life for locals as well. An international workcamp can also be a great incentive for local youth to get active and learn new things. A project is eligible for volunteer support when the social and financial need is clear and it is likely to be viable. The work should be suitable for (often inexperienced) volunteers.Knowledge and helping hands - only limited financial support IBO can provide knowledge on organizing an international workcamp and will recruit volunteers. IBO has basically no financial funds or grants available.Who are the IBO-volunteers? Most IBO-volunteers are between 18 and 30 years old (and some 50+), male and female, mostly (but not solely) from European countries. The volunteers are enthusiastic workers who are eager to work 6 - 8 hours per day, five days a week.
