TREASURER Humanitas Amstelland 'Strengthen yourself, help others,' we say at Humanitas Amstelland. Our volunteers support people who are temporarily unable to cope on their own and could use a helping hand. We help participants with their finances, parenting, divorce, and loneliness. We do this with approximately 120 volunteers and five staff members. Our board is looking for a treasurer who keeps the department financially healthy. You have an overview, work together with the district controller, but remain sharp yourself. You understand the numbers, ask questions, and translate them into choices. So you are not only very good with the numbers, you also understand what is happening on the work floor. What you do: - Monitor and strengthen financial health - Prepare and monitor the budget, quarterly figures, and annual accounts - Support with grant applications and, if applicable, Fundraising applications (financial section) - Provide insight into figures and developments - Identify risks and opportunities - Coordinate with the team and volunteers where necessary This role suits someone who: - Is financially savvy and has an interest in social impact - Is hands-on and maintains an overview - Has about 4 hours a week to dedicate to us - Feels comfortable in an informal organization with volunteers - Is critical and reliable Board experience is a plus, but not a must.
