The role focuses on analytical sciences, digital innovation, laboratory automation, and continuous improvement while supporting biopharmaceutical process development in a collaborative laboratory environment. About the Role · Plan, perform, evaluate, and document analytical experiments for biopharmaceutical process development · Support implementation and transfer of analytical methods for innovative late-phase products · Maintain analytical equipment, support laboratory operations, and investigate unexpected results · Operate automated laboratory systems and maintain digital analytical workflows · Collaborate with analytical experts and cross-functional teams · Improve laboratory efficiency through digital tools and automation · Share know-how through training and knowledge transfer · Contribute to innovation and continuous improvement initiatives · Bring forward ideas, think boldly, and inspire others Qualifications Essential Requirements: · Master's degree with relevant experience, Bachelor's degree with additional experience, or equivalent technical education with extensive experience · Strong knowledge of analytical methods, especially (U)HPLC and CE · Interest in digital technologies and laboratory automation · Flexible, pragmatic, goal-oriented, and scientific working style · Fluent German and English skills Desirable Requirements: · Positive mindset, adaptability, and strong communication skills · Experience working in cross-functional teams · Experience with LIMS and digital laboratory processes · Knowledge of protein analytics and process impurity analysis · Experience with automated liquid handling systems such as Tecan or Hamilton · Programming skills in Python, C, C++, C#, or Visual Basic Benefits & Rewards At Novartis, we are committed to reimagining medicine and rewarding the people who make it possible.
