Job Overview

1 Resource Group is seeking an experienced Materials Planner to support complex manufacturing operations. This role is critical in ensuring materials are available to meet production schedules, customer demand, and inventory goals. The ideal candidate is proactive, analytical, and thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and manage material plans to support production schedules and customer demandIdentify and resolve material shortages, constraints, and supply risksCollaborate with Purchasing and suppliers to ensure on-time delivery and manage lead timesMonitor and optimize inventory levels to meet service and cost targetsMaintain and improve planning parameters within MRP/ERP systems (safety stock, lot sizing, etc.)Participate in S&OP, production planning, and daily operations meetingsAnalyze forecast accuracy, demand variability, and inventory performanceSupport new product introductions and engineering changesDrive continuous improvement initiatives within material planning and inventory processesEnsure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and quality requirements

Requirements

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or related field (preferred)5+ years of experience in material planning, production control, or supply chainStrong experience with MRP/ERP systemsAdvanced Microsoft Excel and data analysis skillsSkillsStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to prioritize and manage multiple demands in a fast-paced environmentExcellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skillsHigh level of accountability and attention to detailPreferred ExperienceExperience with D365 (Dynamics 365)Background in lean manufacturing or continuous improvementExperience supporting S&OP processes

Work Environment

This position is based in a manufacturing facility with a mix of office and production floor exposure. Flexibility in schedule may be required during peak production periods or supply disruptions.
