About this role
We are recruiting for a Contract Content Designer for a 3 month initial contract, starting ASAP.
The role: Content Designer: GEO and SEO
2 days a week in London, Victoria.
Key ResponsibilitiesContent Systems & StructureDesign content systems that support omnichannel delivery and machine readabilityImplement structured content using metadata, tagging, and schema markupCollaborate with UX, design, and engineering teams to integrate:Headless CMS modelsComponent librariesSEO, GEO & Discoverability
Develop SEO and GEO-informed content frameworksEnsure content is optimised for:Global search visibilityMultilingual marketsLocal relevanceDefine and implement metadata strategies, including:TaxonomiesSchema.org markupEntity taggingAI & LLM Content Optimisation
Model and author content for LLM consumption, ensuring clarity, structure, and contextOptimise content for visibility across AI-powered platforms (e.g. ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity)Apply principles of semantic content design and structured data to future-proof contentPerformance & Optimisation
Partner with analytics, research, and SEO teams to:Measure content performanceImprove intent alignmentIncrease visibility across traditional and generative searchContinuously optimise content based on insights and performance dataGovernance & Delivery
Maintain documentation, governance frameworks, and scalable content modelsEnsure consistency and efficiency across content operationsCreate and manage content aligned to overall strategyAuthor and manage content within Contentful CMSMust-Have Skills
7+ years’ experience in Content Design, UX Writing, or Content StrategyStrong expertise in SEO fundamentals and modern semantic searchExperience working with global content (GEO) and localisation workflowsComfortable working with:Structured contentMetadataHeadless CMS environmentsProven ability to design scalable content systems and patterns (not just write content)Strong ability to articulate content decisions and advocate for:User needsGlobal considerationsExcellent cross-functional collaboration and communication skillsNice to Have:
Experience with schema markup / structured data (JSON-LD)Familiarity with writing content for AI/LLM consumption or retrievalExperience partnering with developers and CMS teams on content model designKnowledge of accessibility (WCAG), plain language, and inclusive designExperience working in complex, multi-market organisationsEqual Opportunities Statement:
