Greenfield Engineering, a Saalex Company is seeking a Journeyman Field Support Representative in Quantico, VA to support the development, test and fielding of the presidential helicopter VH software support activity. Candidate will directly support operational squadron with technical expertise on mission systems operation, typical operational scenarios and advanced troubleshooting techniques. Candidate will provide technical continuity and training at the squadron level as Marines learn new mission systems. Candidate will serve as the technical conduit between squadron, software support activities and program office.
Working knowledge of tactical communications, networking, mission systems, test tools and MIL-STD-1553 is required.
Position Type: Full-Time
Salary: $47-$53 hourly (depending on experience) Work Location: Full-time onsite at MCB Quantico, VA, Presidential Helicopter squadron HMX-1.
Essential Functions:
Act as the liaison between the operational squadron and the development / engineering activity / FST/ SSA / PMAWork alongside service members to complete avionics configuration and grooming activitiesPerform and Support Software loading on-siteOversee laptop maintenance to include updates, STIGs and scansTroubleshoot software issues found in the fleet, test, and/or labEvaluate issues to reproduce, validate, investigate and aid in work-around definitionsSupport TD development and observe verificationMaintain technical continuity and training at the squadronProvide exceptional customer service by adhering to customer entitlements, setting clear expectations, and meeting commitments and arrival times to address and resolve customer needs.Utilize tools, support, resources, and escalation processes within required time frames to resolve customer and system problems timely and effectivelyPerform advanced troubleshooting of aircraft electrical, LAN/WAN, secure communications, and mission network systems, reducing repeat discrepancies and minimizing aircraft downtime during high-visibility missions.Identify recurring system failures and document root cause trends, contributing to engineering change proposals and technical publication updates.Maintain strict configuration control of mission system hardware and software baselines, ensuring compliance with program security and operational standards.Support system upgrades, field modifications, and integration efforts by validating installation, conducting operational checks, and reporting performance metrics to program stakeholders.Deliver rapid fault isolation across electrical, network, and proprietary communication subsystems to ensure mission readiness during on-site operations and deployments.Provide operator and maintainer training while safeguarding configuration control and facilitating secure hardware accountability and return.Other duties as assigned or required.Requirements

Education:
3 years of related experience and a BS degree OR 7 years of related experience and HS required.
Security Clearance:
Top Secret clearance required with the ability to obtain a Yankee White clearance. Requirements to obtain a clearance include US Citizenship, security investigation, etc.
