About this role
Our client is pioneering a new era of digital cardiology. Their flagship technology applies machine learning to the human voice to detect heart-failure worsening earlier than any existing method, transforming how clinicians monitor and manage their patients.
Building on a strong foundation of international clinical trials and the recent FDA Breakthrough Device Designation, they are now entering the next chapter: bringing this breakthrough technology to market and expanding the clinical evidence base to establish their technology as the new standard of care. Together with their deployed remote monitoring platform, already trusted by more than 200 cardiologists and over 1,000 patients across Europe and the United States, they are building the future of cardiovascular care.
About the Role
They are looking for a Scientific Founder’s Associate to work directly with their founders, especially their Chief Medical Officer, on some of the most important clinical, scientific, and strategic topics across the company.
This is not a classic research role and not a standard clinical operations position. It is a founder-adjacent, high-ownership role at the intersection of:
clinical researchevidence generationscientific communicationproduct and AI validationstrategic company buildingYou will work closely with their internal R&D team and leading collaborators from institutions such as Charité Berlin, Mayo Clinic, UCSF, Duke, and others across Europe and the U.S.
This role is ideal for someone who wants to learn fast, think deeply, and help build a category-defining digital health company from the inside.
Requirements
What you will do
Work directly with the founders on high-priority clinical, scientific, and strategic projectsSupport and help shape their evidence generation strategy across clinical trials, AI validation, and real-world studiesContribute to protocol design, endpoint definitions, analysis concepts, and interpretation of clinical dataDraft and co-author publications, abstracts, conference submissions, and scientific materialsTranslate clinical and scientific findings into clear internal and external narratives for clinicians, partners, investors, and other stakeholdersCollaborate closely with R&D and data science to validate models and turn findings into product improvementsSupport regulatory, grant, and medical communication workstreams as neededWho you are
MD, PhD, or comparable background in medicine, clinical sciences, or a related fieldStrong interest or experience in cardiology, heart failure, digital health, AI, or clinical research1 to 4 years of relevant experience in medicine, consulting, strategy, digital health, research, or medical device developmentStrong analytical thinking and excellent written communicationExcited by ambiguity, ownership, and startup speedMotivated to work very closely with founders and contribute beyond a single functionStrong plus
Experience in cardiology / heart failureExperience in startup, consulting, VC, or founder-adjacent rolesPublication / abstract writing experienceFamiliarity with GCP, ISO 14155, MDR, FDA, or medical device evidence generationExposure to the U.S. healthcare system
