Job Description Summary We are looking for a proactive and organised Logistics Operative to join our Transformer Manufacturing team in Stafford. This is a key role within the business, ensuring materials and components are received, stored, handled, and delivered efficiently to support on-time production of critical transformer projects. You'll play an essential part in maintaining smooth operations across the site, helping ensure materials are available in the right place, at the right time, and in perfect condition.
Job Description
What You'll Be Doing Safely loading and unloading goods from delivery vehiclesOperating FLTs and overhead cranes to move materials across siteTransporting pallets, crates, and components to designated storage and production areasKitting materials and components in line with the Master Production Schedule (MPS)Maintaining accurate stock records and updating SAP systemsCarrying out routine equipment checks and basic preventative maintenanceSupporting stock control activities including cycle counts and stock investigationsEnsuring materials are stored correctly and preserved to prevent damage or deteriorationMaintaining clean, safe, and organised storage areasAssisting with continuous improvement initiatives within logistics operationsSupporting compliance with all Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental procedures
What We're Looking For
Essential Skills & Experience Experience using SAP or similar warehouse management systemsFLT (Forklift Truck) experience/certificationOverhead crane operating experienceStrong organisational and time-management skillsGood attention to detail and accuracyA safety-first mindset with a proactive approach to work
