This role is part of our UK Wastewater Services (UKWWS) team, supporting water utility companies on wastewater and sewage treatment sites nationwide. About the Job

We are looking for an experienced and qualified Mechanical Engineer to join our branch in Heathfield, East Sussex. This is a hands‑on field role with excellent variety and long‑term development opportunities.

In this job, you will: Install, commission, set up and test water filtration systems on sewage treatment sitesCarry out site inspections, diagnose faults and prepare survey reports for quotationsUse mobile electronic equipment to access and interpret technical informationWork at heights, in confined spaces and outdoors in all weather conditionsWork away from home regularly, including overnight staysOccasionally support workshop activities at other UK locationsCollaborate with other engineers and trades across the business If you enjoy practical mechanical work, thrive in different environments and want to help maintain critical UK water infrastructure, this is a fantastic opportunity. About You

To be successful, you'll need: A current valid UK driving licenceCity & Guilds mechanical engineering qualificationCompletion of a recognised mechanical apprenticeship You'll also bring: A safety‑focused mindsetStrong mechanical knowledge and hands‑on engineering abilityWillingness to work away from home regularlyAbility to follow and interpret technical instructionsA proactive, reliable and positive approachGood teamwork and communication skills Why Work for Us?
