Job Title/High Level Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and collaborative Sr. Project Manager to lead New Product Development (NPD) projects across cross-functional teams within a fast-paced medical device environment. This role is responsible for managing projects in alignment with PMI methodologies, including business analysis, project planning, execution oversight, communication management, and risk mitigation.The Sr. Project Manager will partner closely with Product Development, Operatroions, Marketing, Quality, and Commercial teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. This position requires strong leadership, analytical thinking, and the ability to effectively manage complex, multi-department initiatives while influencing stakeholders across all levels of the organization. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver with excellent organizational and communication skills who thrives in a collaborative, matrixed environment. Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage new product development and cross-functional business projects from initiation through commercializationPartner with functional teams to develop business cases, project objectives, and statements of workCreate and maintain detailed project plans including scope, timelines, resources, budgets, communication plans, and risk mitigation strategiesCollaborate closely with Product Development, Operations, Marketing, Quality, and Commercial teams to ensure successful project executionOrganize and lead project team meetings, status updates, and cross-functional reviewsDevelop and maintain project dashboards, KPIs, and reporting tools to communicate progress, risks, and key milestonesMonitor project execution and proactively identify issues, dependencies, and risks impacting project successPartner with leadership teams to develop and execute mitigation plans for identified project risksFacilitate effective communication across stakeholders and ensure alignment on project priorities and deliverablesPrepare and deliver presentations and project updates to mid- and senior-level leadershipSupport continuous improvement initiatives related to project management processes, tools, and operational effectivenessDrive accountability and collaboration across matrixed teams to achieve project goals and business objectives. Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree or MBA preferredPMP certification preferred3+ years of experience in Product Development, Marketing, Quality, Sales Operations, or related functionsMinimum 2 years of Project Management experience within a regulated or complex business environmentStrong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and best practicesExperience developing and managing project plans, budgets, timelines, and communication strategiesStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and lead projects in a matrixed organizationExcellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels Desired Qualifications
Experience within the medical device or healthcare industry preferredFamiliarity with Lean concepts, process mapping, and operational excellence methodologiesExperience managing New Product Development (NPD) projectsStrong understanding of medical device industry trends and commercialization processesDemonstrated ability to lead change management initiatives across cross-functional organizationsExperience working in fast-paced, highly collaborative environments Core Competencies
