Job Summary
Torrent Resources, a CRH company, is seeking a Stormwater Maintenance Technician to join our team. Under supervision of the Field Operations Supervisor, the Stormwater Maintenance Laborer performs such tasks and duties as are necessary for cleaning stormwater structures and systems including but not limited to drywells, envibro systems, treatment systems, and stormwater inlets. The position also supports the repairing of stormwater structures as needed.
Job Responsibilities
Ensuring all daily tasks are completed in a safe mannerRemoving trash, leaves, sediment, and other debris from stormwater drainage systemsCollaboration with other team members to accomplish daily tasksUnderstanding and following all Confined Space Entry protocolsPerforming daily vehicle inspectionsAssisting in daily work documentationPerforming system repairs as necessaryOther duties as needed
Job Requirements High School diploma or equivalentValid driver's license and the ability to operate a company vehicleAbility to drive company pickup truck and trailerThe ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting heavy objects, working outdoors in varying weather conditions, and standing or walking for extended period of timesAbility to work in confined spacesKnowledge of safety protocols and the ability to consistently adhere to them to ensure a safe working environmentProven track record of punctuality, reliability, and consistent work performanceAscending or descending ladders up to 30' deepBalancing, climbing, kneeling, lifting up to 75 pounds (manhole covers, drywell covers and grates, catch basin grates), pushing, pulling, reaching, stooping, and walking carrying support equipmentStanding next to and entering drywells, catch basins and stormwater manholes that can be 5' deep or deeperWorking near vehicle and heavy equipment traffic
