About this role

Job Summary:

Diagnoses and completes less complex repairs to engines at the customer's site.

We are looking for a talented Engine Field Service Diesel Technician/Mechanic to join our Distribution business. Main location is Kamloops reporting to the Remote Mining West operation based in Hinton.

14x14 days and some nights

Will make an impact in the following ways:

Complete repairs on engine products in a service shopPerform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic toolsMaintain detailed records of serviced vehiclesAdhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policiesOngoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins productsMaintain own tools In order to be successful in this role you will need the following:

Completes complex internal engine repairsPerforms engine overhauls unassistedDetailed understanding of the aftertreatment system and componentsProficient experience with engine diagnostic software Main location is Kamloops reporting to the Remote Mining West operation based in Hinton.

We are seeking a new team member for a position that operates on a 14-on/14-off rotation with 12-hour shifts under a collective bargaining agreement. The primary schedule will be day shift, though occasional night shifts may be required.

In this role, you will support our customers across multiple locations within our operating area, with the potential to assist at our sister operations when needed.

You will work at various mineral mine sites, performing diagnostics and repairs on both Cummins and non-Cummins engines and equipment.

We will require a journeyperson with red seal.

Pre-access Drug and Alcohol testing will be required for some sites.

-This role requires a 5 year motor vehicle report, free from major violations and must meet the conditions of the company policy

Education, Licenses, Certifications:

Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred)

Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution

Locally valid driving permit

This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience:

Basic level field service work experience

Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products

Customer service experience
