About this role

Job Purpose and Impact

This role will review and perform overall Lease Accounting and Reporting, Analytics considering ASC 842 and IFRS16. Good firsthand experience in accounting journal entries and handling of RU and lease level balance analysis, Balance sheet reconciliations. We seek an experienced professional to lead process improvements, training team members on process changes and continuous improvement and assisting in audit activity.

Key Accountabilities

Perform Financial AnalysisPrepare Lease related disclosures for Financial Statements & Ensuring adherence to Financial regulations & internal policiesAnalyzing the Lease data to identify trends & to provide insights to business (FPNA, Treasury, Controllers)Partners with Lease accounting, RTR Accounting and Fixed Asset teams to drive root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective actions as required.To facilitate the RE Operations/Controllership teams to build standard Reports for Leases which would cater most of the Local requirements.To provide relevant reports for Buy Vs Lease analysis/ Finance vs Operating leasesTo support the team in providing the material movement in lease balances and provide Flux analysis to TACOEOversee the Lease Rental expenses & provide relevant reports to ensure the leases are managed in TririgaEnsure Process EfficiencyIdentifying opportunities to streamline Global Lease accounting process. Implementing process improvements & automationsTo leverage deep expertise from core finance process tower teams in the areas of Finance vs Operating, Buy vs Lease analysis across regions and business groups.Create and Review SOPs for Complex ProcessPartner with Controllership and Other TeamsParticipate in enterprise operational review meetingsBuild strong connection with Real Estate, TACOE & Controllership teams and business stakeholders keeps up to date with key business developments to ensure this context supports their analysis and understanding of the financials.Provides support to finance and business initiatives in the region as requiredPartners with CI, PI, GPO and RTR teams to identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities, making the end-to-end accounting and reporting process more efficient and effective

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS CA / CMA qualified or semi qualified with 6 to 10 years of experience in a related field or equivalent experienceGood accounting knowledge including IGAAP, IFRS and US generally accepted accounting principles. Strong experience in Lease accounting and well versed with ASC 842 and IFRS16 Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Excel is must.Should be flexible with shift timings PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Working experience in multinational environment or with core lease accounting knowledgeKnowledge in JDE/SAP Accounting systems
